Iran demands apology from Hollywood.

Iran's government is a delegation from Hollywood to the sights. Actually, the guests including Actrice Annette Bening, seminars about filmmaking hold - but the government wants an apology first. Movies like "300" and "The Wrestler" offended the Iranian people.

Tehran - Actually they were come to talk to knowledge, to build relationships. A delegation of nine representatives of the U.S. film industry is currently in Iran, to seminars on topics such as writing scripts, about directing, acting, film production and marketing and other issues to consider. But really welcome the group, whose most prominent members of the actress Annette Bening ( "American Beauty") and the President of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, Sid Ganis, are not in Tehran.

Hollywood should only once for "insults and accusations against the Iranian nation" excuse, called Javad Shamaqdari, adviser to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He demanded that the families of the Iranian film industry, not with the guests to meet, should not ask forgiveness, for alleged misconduct in Hollywood "in the past 30 years."

Javad Shamaqdari filmmakers is, of course, Ahmadinejad also advises on cultural issues. The Iranian people and the Muslim revolution in his country had been "repeatedly and unjustifiably attacked were from Hollywood," said Shamaqdari, why would representatives of the film industry in the country only after an apology "the right to a formal meeting with the filmmakers from Hollywood."

Shamaqdari cited as examples of the 18-year-old film "Not Without My Daughter" in which Sally Field plays a mother, whose child wants to flee from Iran, which

"The Wrestler" with Mickey Rourke.

"Hollywood declares war to Iran"

"300" attracted the Iranian public after the premiere in March 2007. The Persians, the Iranian people today consider as their ancestors, it does not come off too well - they are as bloodthirsty and sexually dissipated presented.

Even then appeared to Shamaqdari word. The comic adaptation, based on the eponymous graphic novel by Frank Miller is based, called it "psychological warfare". The film "plundering Iran's historic past and insulting its culture," was the cultural and censorship seem to Ahmadinejad's advisor at the time. An Iranian newspaper headline "Hollywood declares war to Iran."

Mickey Rourke ripping an Iranian flag

"The Wrestler" is now under criticism, because Mickey Rourke is against an Iranian fighter called "The Ayatollah" compete. In a scene torn Rourke an Iranian flag.

The fact that in Iran many people excited about this - a petition against "300" was still around a few thousand signatories - is actually quite surprising: None of these films was then in the cinemas. To find out about the evil U.S. cultural imperialism angry, you had to give Iranians have pirated copies.

Hollywood has responded to the repeated criticism is always with the same defense responds: It is in its products to fiction, not representations of reality.

Annette Bening in any event, the hope for a friendly exchange with Iranian colleagues have not give up. "I hope that we have an open dialogue between the two countries can achieve," said the actress, in a traditional black robe and a scarf wrapped, reporters in Tehran.
