The game of life.

Won eight Oscars the film "Slumdog Millionaire" in which a poor Indian boy all the questions answered in a quiz. The movie heroes are in reality. Harsh Nawathe was through television to millionaire - today he is to Slumkinder.

Harshvardhan Nawathe sits before a small television, he had a tiny apartment, situated in the north of the city. It is Sunday evening in early March, a week after the Oscar ceremony, which will run on television talk show "We the People". The people on TV arguing about the film "Slumdog Millionaire" won eight Oscars. They argue, as it fights all over India, since days now.

Harshvardhan, in India only Harsh called, was also invited in this program. It is a question of whether the film in which an orphaned boy from the slum to millionaire in a quiz, which insulted the country. Or whether India should be proud of. From Harsh said.

He turns from the TV, takes his four-month-old son in his arms, talking with him, grimacing exercises, as experts recommend in education book "Baby Minds Brain Building", which he just read. Schlau Saraansh times should be smart like his father.

He, the father wants nothing to do with all the hubbub about "Slumdog," he has no time for that. He works with children in the slums of Bombay - or Mumbai, as the city is also called - in a foundation, which pays teachers, textbooks, clothing and computer courses, so that no one of them will leave school without qualifications.

There is probably nobody in India is so much to "Slumdog Millionaire" as he could tell how Harshvardhan Nawathe. He has seen the movie, right after the India launch in January. He wanted to know if it something of his own history recognizes. In the taxi rickshaw drove with his wife to the nearest cinema, only the last two rows were filled. As always in Bombay cinema collected all of the seats and sang the Indian national anthem. At the beginning, as a movie hero Jamal into a septic tank full of shit jump, the woman passed Harsh appetite, she had her bag of popcorn stand. She found the scene and mangy felt hurt in their honor as Indian. Harsh also was disappointed. A film only. A tale from Hollywood - and Bollywood, no matter. The reality looks different, he thought, my life is true.

Harshvardhan Nawathe is India's real "Slumdog Millionaire." The first and only major winner of the quiz KBC "Kaun Banega Crorepati", says "Who wants to be a Millionaire?" in India. Nobody so far made it as far as he was.

Just over eight years, on 19 October 2000, Harsh won ten million rupees, 150,000 euros, then the maximum profit. One third of all Indians, therefore, the 350 million people, feared before their televisions and in front of the shop windows of electrical stores with this indigent students. Until today, they recognize him on the street, he is a folk hero in Bombay, and its history in India is much more popular than the movie from "the Hollywood". It sounds like a continuation of "Slumdog." What makes the fame of one who comes from below and suddenly stands at the top? How long does it a dream? And what comes next?

Harsh has seen many pictures and read many articles by this Oscar night. He saw Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Ismail, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. years old, the amateur actor from "Slumdog Millionaire," on the red carpet in Los Angeles. He saw them at the airport of Bombay by a car convoy were collected, how they deal with chains of flowers behängt, as the convoy through the city in their slum pulled, called the Garib Nagar, poor location. He looked like Azharuddin, the brother of "Slumdog" hero Jamal plays on a plastic chair in front of a corrugated iron hut crouched and cool gestures made it on the red carpet had learned that his naughty grin anknipste, so all the love, the Finger on the Victory sign spreads.

And he read that Azharuddin from his father had been beaten, just a slap in the face, but one with consequences. His father suggested, because he had promised an interview and Azharuddin had no desire to the many questions. He read that the boy now has this self-consultant, prior to his cottage loaf and journalists call on them for each Rupienscheine Story zustecken, there were photos of this slap in the face, and newspapers around the world printed this story. After Azharuddin had to give more interviews, Family Minister of India threatened to investigate the incident to leave, his father had to apologize. And now come from the surrounding neighbors huts are envious and gleeful, arguing with Azharuddins parents say their son would anyway have been much better suited for the role, they ask, where is now the Gage and where the new apartment, by the you always say?
