God and ridicule.

Gay Muslims, Jesus-Cast bizarre, religious truckers - they all take Bill Maher force to prayer. The U.S. comedian can be seen in the documentary "Religulous" mercilessly on the religions of this world funny.

Poor John Westcott against Bill Maher has no chance. The young Evangelicals-pastor from Florida is doing his best to explain how each of homosexuals with a little good will and the infinite power of a good faith may be heterosexual, when he himself had indeed worked. But Maher has stated the obvious answer - and Westcott argument breaks down: With his gentle nature, and the upper gestählten perfectly seated Gel Hair Westcott would probably still the star in every gay bar, right? As the two farewell hug (Westcott idea ...), still says Maher, "Wow, this is about an erection?"

Bill Maher is merciless when it comes to the dismantling of his interlocutor's. With his dry, sarcastic nature has it in the U.S. to star comedians with their own late-night show brought in the documentary "Religulous", he uses it to the religions of the world to decompose. Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Scientology is ridiculous for him - but too powerful. The group of infidels on the other hand, according to Maher at least 16 percent of the U.S. population, is reasonable in his eyes - but totally underrepresented.

He did no evil in mind, Maher said that he wanted to just these 16 percent a voice: they and their skepticism. You will still be time to ask.

And anything other than ask Maher really does not. Under the direction of Larry Charles ( "Borat"), he travels through the world and interviewed all sorts of, well, experts, why they not realize that their religion actually a pretty silly thing.

And against the sharp wit of the intellectuals of the East Coast are the most powerless, the trucker, the caravan in a sort of church on Highway during the coffee break praise the Lord, the devout Jesus-Cast, which is absurd in a Christian theme park in Orlando several times a day to Cross nailed it, the two gay Muslims, the lonely in a bar in Amsterdam, sit, and the crazy rabbi who denies the Holocaust, or the provincial politician from Arkansas, a Democrat who does not like to decide whether he or Evolution to Creation believe.

Maher is all just talk and walk into the blade. It requires just the right keywords and you do all by itself quite ridiculous.

This results in a partially extremely funny, entertaining documentary. Maher is sensitive and sympathetic than brute-scout Michael Moore, but just as fearless and resolute.

Deep believer will understandably not very amusing, and also found unconvincing. Because serious theologians Maher can barely speak, and if he does it but just as in two high-level Vatican priests, then they prove to be a reasonable, perfectly rational interlocutors argued that just will not believe by blind faith, very but a lot of enlightened religiosity.

"Religulous" will be converted, and nobody likes to his enemy is not always fair, the fun does not diminish. And many Buddhists and Hindus are largely spared.

Perhaps there is a second part soon.
